Well summer is here and I’ve been procrastinating. The weather is warm and friends are calling to hang out. I’m afraid spending time writing has been less appealing that going out and having fun. I must apologize for not getting my last article done sooner. Let hope for a couple of rainy days so I can stay inside and write.

Greetings! it’s finally spring! Time to do something!
When I first though of making a list of gothic hairstyles for the website it seemed like an easy task. Then I started to make the list and realized that not only goth hairstyles were on the list, but soon also included punk hairstyles, emo hair styles and dying your hair in the most wonderful shades of color and then repairing your color. Further contemplation Filled my racing mind. Stay tuned, I hope to have all that put together in type for you gothic guys and girls soon.
In the mean time here is probally the best gothic hairstyle website by a famous gothic photographer. She specializes in the Victorian and Edwardian era. These are people who live and breathe gothic. This is one of my favorite sites. Tons of pictures and clothing for ideas on how to look certain goth styles as well as other subcultures within the Gothic culture.http://www.viona-art.com/index.html

I have updated the Tattoos page with some Gothic tattoo pictures. They did not come out as clear as I though. I think I need a new camera, I don’t think 3 mega pixels is from this century. Anyway, I have loaded some example Tattoos to http://www.hotgothicstuff.com/gothic-tattoos.shtml

Hey there, I have a special surprise for you. We just got in some great pictures of some guys with Tattoos. I’ll be working on them then adding them to the site http://www.HotGothicStuff.com on the Gothic Tattoos Page.
Two of my dear friends came to visit today and show off their new tattoos. I just happened to have my camera ready to witness the occasion … or future black mail opportunity which ever the case.
I’d like If you have any Gothic tattoos that you would like to show off if you’d send in the pictures I’ll put them up. I think it would be interesting to compare tattoos.
Have a great sunday!

Gemolis here, greetings everyone who is reading this. I know some of you have some great gothic pictures that you’d like to share with me. Please send a picture of yourself or something goth related and if it passes my screening test then I’d be happy to post it on the web site.
The pictures we have on the site now could be a lot better quality if you’d grace us with some of your photographic talents. I’d be happy to give credit and a link to the people who I’ve picked. Only send photos that you took, not copies from another site… that would’nt be right. Oh yes, and just to let you know nude and sick photos will not be considered.
Please send your photos and comments http://www.hotgothicstuff.com
Have an enchanted evening!

I have noticed several hot topic stores closed or closing. Is it just a coincidence or has Hot Topic decided to scale back?

In the 1950’s the first gothic girl was Vampira. She dreamed of becoming an actress and started her career modeling to pay the bills. After that she modeled in magazines. in 1953 she attended a masquerade party in a black wig and tight long black dress. She caught a producers attention and in 1954 had her own show called “The Vampira Show”. Even though she won an emmy for her role as most outstanding female personality, the show was cancelled after one year.
She took some time off and in the 70’s and Vampira whos realy name is Nurmi opened an antique and jewelry shop. In the 80’s she briefly reappeared when producers wanted her to revive the Vampira character. After a few disagreements Nurmi decided to leave the show. Another actress was cast for that role. With a few modifications and a new name the character Elvira was introduced. Nurmi tried to sue the producers but the case did not hold up in court.
Nurmi as Vampira inspired many characters including Morticia from the Adams family. Nurmi will be sadly missed. She died on January 10th as she slept.

In the United Kingdom a young gothic lady Tasha 19 and her goth boyfriend Dani 25 were not allowed to board a bus last week. Apparently they were called names by the bus driver. Tasha wore a black gothic style dress with a collar and leash that was held by Dani. Tasha AKA the human pet says she has an easy life. The bus drivers company has apologized for the the drivers conduct. The bus company claims it was for safety reasons, saying if there were an accident and Tasha was on the leash it cold be dangerous. They also said she could ride the bus if she was unleashed.

Hey! I was wondering how each of you all became who you are now as a goth. Feel free to discuss if you want. I guess I started first on a goth site http://www.gothicmatch.com/photo/gothicgirl888 . I became interested in goth for a very long time there since I was very young as you can say pretty drawn to it. Besides my belief in pagan, I developed great interest in music, the goth clothings, and the goth way of life. I accepted the darkness as I did for the light just as life and death. I accepted the lack of beauty that most people failed to see in life. So if any of you who would like to share on how you became will be up to you.
