My suggestion would be to start off slow - slow changes people do not notice much - especially around home. In school you can be a little more free to be yourself. You can put stuff in your backpack (assuming your parents don't check your stuff) keep your goth stuff in your locker and dress a little more goth in school. As far as makeup slow changes will help you transition if you do too much to fast parents kinda get weirded out. Good luck. Please let me know if I can help more. Gemolis

thanks this article has kinda helped, I've been seriously thinking about going goth and wanting to but I'm scared of what my parents will think(I've indirectly told my mom) and about school. I'm kinda self conscious so you might understand. I started to wear more black and my mom knows that that's my style and one of my favorite colors(black, red, purple, and dark blue) but she doesn't know it's tied to being goth. Can you help me?
